Origin

This is a new breed currently being created by Triple M Kennel from the English Shepherd and the Dakota Shep Foundation. "The best of the best is being used to create this beautiful, intelligent new breed."

Temperament

The Dakotah Shepherd is a very loyal dog that loves his family. Extremely smart, he is capable of very flexible training and can be trained for herding, agility and therapy to a high level of obedience. Hybrid vigor, very gentle and great with kids. This dog is as comfortable in the backyard as it is on the farm. More than willing to go out and work or just play with the family. Satisfied to be just in the company of their family. They are not hyper dogs nor are they yappy/barky, generally a very quiet dog. Could be a watch dog, but would only warn you of intruders, they have not yet shown any aggression.
